During the end of life, families are often faced with heartache, grief, decision making, around-the-clock caregiving, and the navigation of many systems. As an End-of-Life Doula, I will provide holistic support by paying attention to each family member’s emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual needs.

Holistic Family Support Services include :

  • Family Facilitation

At the end of life, there can be lots of family dynamics to navigate. As a former family counselor, I can help mediate difficult conversations between family members and help to calm any relationship patterns that occur. I can also help advocate for the family’s needs while dealing with various systems (medical, funeral, etc.)

  • Resource Guidance

There is so much that needs to be done during the last days of life. I can help you to find the resources you need, so that you can concentrate on staying present with your loved one. Every family’s needs are different, so I will create a unique resource list that will fit your own necessities.

  • Grief/Loss/Bereavement Support

I have been providing grief support to people since 2007 and can help you to navigate your own grief. As painful as it is, your grief is a normal reaction to your loss. Everyone grieves differently, even within the same family. I am here to walk you through your unique grieving experience. Your grief is multi-faceted, because relationships are complex and your socio-cultural background informs how you will navigate it. You are your own expert in your grief experience, but I am here to help support your grief in any ways that feel helpful.

  • Somatics & Nervous System Regulation

Whether you have just found out about a terminal diagnosis and feel in shock, or you have been caregiving for a loved one and feel burnt out, or the death of someone you cherish has created trauma in your body, I can support you. Through very simple guided practices and breathwork, I can help you to feel less stressed and more at rest within your nervous system.

  • Child & Teen Support

Often times, families don’t know how to talk about a death with their children. Depending on the ages of the kids, there may be certain ways to navigate these conversations. Additionally, you may have questions about how much to involve you children in the death of a loved one. I can help you to traverse this sacred time with your kids. I have been supporting children, teens, and families after a death since 2009, and can help the youngest members of your family through the end of life experience.

  • Rituals for Before, During, and After Death

Yes, death can be heartbreaking. However, death is also Sacred. Through using Rituals before, during, and after a death we can create a space for the Sacredness of it all. I can handcraft special Rituals that will connect with you and your loved one’s heart, mind, and spirit. These special Rituals can help create memories of connection and love during this difficult time.

“When we first meet what we love, we could become poets for our longing. When we are removed from what we love, we become singers of grief and weavers of elegant description.”
