Grief is Universal, yet we often feel isolated when we are in it. Feeling alone in our grief may keep us lost in hopeless patterns. However, when we grieve in a community of others we can be seen, heard, and validated which can lead to healing the parts of ourselves that feel stuck.

Grief is all-encompassing. Grief is something we may feel in our hearts, in our bodies, and in our soul. Our monthly Grief Gathering is a holistic exploration of our grief that includes embodied rituals and an integrated connection to ourselves and others.

Due to COVID-19, our Grief Gathering will be hosted on Zoom for the time being. However, we have taken care to still create an intimate and safe space. Our community honors all grief and all the ways it is showing up for you.

Be prepared to bring items found in your home to our Zoom space. We will be starting each Grief Gathering using an item that describes how you are feeling in that moment of arriving to the circle. We will also be closing each gathering with a candle lighting Ritual. And often times, we will be asked to share special photos or items that can be honored during our gathering time. Valenca’s life work is to bring grief, death, & dying out of the shadows and into the light. She has her Master’s in Social Work and has been facilitating grief groups for 12 years. As a trained holistic practitioner, Valenca is a Grief Guide, both individually and within community settings. She is a Life-Cycle Celebrant that creates Ceremony and Ritual for End-of-Life, Death, and Grief. Valenca is a Certified End-of-Life Midwife and holds space for families during life’s most Sacred Transitions.
